Certifications & Safety
European-certified, professionally approved, built to last
Why Certification Matters
Wall bars hold people. They mount to walls in homes where children climb them and in clinics where patients rehabilitate injuries. "Sturdy enough" isn't a standard — so BenchK submits every product line to independent European testing laboratories that verify structural integrity, material safety, and load capacity under controlled conditions. The result: formal certification under two key European norms.
European Safety Standards
| Standard | Scope | What It Covers |
|---|---|---|
| PN-EN 12346:2001 | Gymnastic equipment — Wall bars, lattice frames | Structural requirements, dimensional tolerances, static and dynamic load testing for wall-mounted gymnastic apparatus |
| PN-EN 913:2019-03 | Gymnastic equipment — General safety requirements and test methods | Material safety, entrapment hazards, stability, sharp edges, surface finish, labeling and instruction requirements |
These aren't marketing badges. PN-EN 12346 specifically governs wall bars and lattice frames — it defines how much force the rungs must withstand, how the frame must behave under sustained load, and the dimensional precision required for safe mounting. PN-EN 913 covers broader gymnastic equipment safety: no entrapment risks, no sharp edges, no toxic finishes, proper labeling. Together, they form the legal baseline for any gymnastic apparatus sold for institutional use in Europe.
Approved Environments
BenchK's certifications qualify their wall bars for professional installation in:
- Schools and kindergartens — where child safety standards are strictest
- Rehabilitation centers — for physiotherapy and movement recovery programs
- Commercial gyms and fitness studios — high-traffic, multi-user environments
- Physical therapy clinics — professional healthcare settings
- Home use — exceeds residential requirements by a wide margin

Materials & Manufacturing
Every BenchK product is manufactured 100% in Poland using Polish raw materials. This isn't a cost-cutting offshore operation with a European label — it's end-to-end Polish manufacturing, from raw timber to finished product.
Wood
BenchK uses FSC-certified European beech — a dense, fine-grained hardwood prized for its strength and smooth feel under the hand. Each rung and wooden component is hand-oiled with an organic linseed-based oil that is food-safe and free of synthetic solvents. The finish penetrates the wood grain rather than sitting on top, preserving the natural texture while protecting against moisture and wear. No lacquers, no polyurethane, no chemical smell.
Steel
Steel frames and brackets are powder-coated — an electrostatic finishing process that creates a harder, more durable surface than traditional paint. The coating resists chipping, scratching, and corrosion even under heavy daily use. BenchK backs the powder-coated steel with a 10-year warranty.
What This Means in Practice
Certifications and material specs can feel abstract, so here's the practical summary: a BenchK wall bar is built to hold a 150 kg adult doing dynamic hanging exercises, day after day, for years — in a commercial gym environment. The wood won't splinter. The steel won't chip. The oil finish is safe for toddlers who will inevitably put their mouths on the rungs. And the whole thing has been independently verified by European testing labs, not just the manufacturer's own quality control.
If you're buying for a school, clinic, or gym, these certifications are what your procurement office and insurance provider will ask for. BenchK has them.
